Q. Should I seal my grout?
A. Grout does not have to be sealed, but without some sort of protection the grout will begin absorbing dirt and grime immediately after installation. Grout is porous; it will absorb stains even with regular mopping. This can leave the grout looking unevenly colored ruining the look of an installation.

Q. Can I change my grout color?
A. Yes. Our Stain / Seal process allows you to

change grout from light to dark or dark to light, we can even match the grout color to all of the grout manufactures colors.
Q. What type of grout can be Stain / Sealed?
A. Stain / Seal is formulated for use on interior ceramic tile installations that have a sanded grout joint.

Q. How is the Stain / Seal applied to the grout?
A. All tile and grout has to be cleaned thoroughly then we brush the Stain / Seal protection into each grout joint by hand, wiping away excess from tile. Lastly it is inspected and buffed off.

Q. What sealers work best?
A. Most sealers, even the expensive ones, only provide stain resistance. Stain resistance means you have a little more time to pick up small spills, but it doesn’t stain proof the grout. Stain / Sealing creates a long-lasting, durable layer of protections that prevents dirt and spills from absorbing into your grout. Common spills can be wiped away, looking like the day it was installed.

Q. How long will the Stain / Seal process take?

A. Stain / Sealing protection can usually be completed in one day.
Q. How long after the Stain / Seal has been applied before you can walk on the floor?
A. The floor is ready for light foot traffic in only 2 hours. Of course, walking on the tile and avoiding the grout joints allows you to walk on tile right away.

Q. How long does the Stain / Seal protection last?
A. If the tile and grout are maintained properly, the protection will typically last 8 years or more.

Q. How do you care for Stain / Sealed grout?
A. The new seal will take 3 weeks to fully cure. During curing time spills may be spot cleaned or swept but avoid standing water or mopping. Care should be done with a PH-neutral cleaner on all grout even if unsealed to avoid stripping out the color. Cleaner is provided and should be diluted 1 part cleaner to 4 parts water.

Q. What is the warranty?
A. We guarantee all of our work for one year against defects in material and craftsmanship.
